President Zachary Taylor Dollar

U.S. Presidential dollar coins were minted for circulation 2007 – 2011. Year of minting, mint mark, 13 stars, and “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of many, one) are inscribed into these coins’ edges. It’s the first time since St. Gaudens Double Eagle (1907–1933) the United States issued a coin with edge lettering!

This is a “2009-P” (Philadelphia) coin sold in Very Choice About Uncirculated condition (AU-58).

Zachary Taylor was the 12th president of the United States of America. 1849-1850 signifies the years he held office. Taylor died While in office he died of stomach disease.
