Michael Jordan played fifteen seasons in the National Basketball Association.

Michael Jordan won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 1988 award. Jordan won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. He is a six time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP), five time league MVP, ten time scoring title winner (all-time records), fourteen time NBA All-Star, and three time All-Star Game MVP and NBA steals winner. In 1999 Jordan was named the greatest North American athlete and second-greatest athlete in the 20th century to Babe Ruth by ESPN and the Associated Press, respectively.

Jordan’s NBA record for career regular season scoring average is 30.12 points per game and his career playoff scoring average was 33.45 points. Jordan was twice inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and is the principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets.
