1925 Buffalo Nickel
$1.45
The Indian Head Buffalo five-cent piece, designed by James Earle Fraser, was minted in The United States between 1913 and 1938. Despite controversies, its obverse was struck depicting a Native American and its reverse bearing the American bison. These coins proved difficult, their dates were to subject to wear-away easily and were immediately replaced after the 25-year minimum period during which a coin design cannot be changed.
